Does my character remember their life before they died?

The short answer is: It is up to you. If you opt for them to have amnesia about their pre-Rumor life, it’s beneficial to familiarize yourself with Rumor’s lore. Alternatively, if your character arrives with no prior knowledge of the city, that’s perfectly acceptable. We’ll adapt the story accordingly, provided your character is open to learning about their new environment.

How do you get dairy products like eggs and milk in Rumor?

Milk for butter and other like products are produced at Real Meat along with the meat they give out. Eggs, however, are often replaced with modern alternatives catering to those with egg allergies. If you would like we can get way too deep on this subject.

If me and my friend both died at the same time, how could we end up in Rumor centuries apart from each other?

Rumor city is the latest city on the spiral of Hell. As people die their souls load onto trains. Some trains take centuries before they are full while others fill rapidly and embark to Rumor. The Narrative Nexus, a force beyond all control, decides who is sorted into what train and for what reason. 

How Does Time Work in Rumor City

Rumor stands outside what we understand as time. It is, in fact, timeless. Two people born several centuries apart could both end up in Rumor on the same day and both would be right. Echoes pending transport and waiting for their destined place are held in waiting on an unfilled train while others may be sorted into a train heading toward Rumor sooner. The time lines are non-linear.  This is our take on time.

What technology is available in Rumor?

Everything that exists in the modern day also exists in Rumor. This city has existed for centuries and in that time cell phone, internet service, and all of the other real life vices have found their way into Rumor.

What is the weather like in Rumor?

The weather here remains unchanging, day after day. Each morning brings the scent of fresh rain without the water falling from the sky. It never rains in Rumor City because the weather never changes. The sun dutifully rises at 8 am and sets precisely at 8 pm, while the temperature holds steady at an exact 21°C (70°F) – even throughout the night. This unwavering consistency lends an eerie, artificial feel.

Can we have vehicles in Rumor?

No. They’re laggy. Even if you want to rip all the scripts out and just use them as a prop the answer is no. Other new players will see your car, not know that you have cleaned it for lag, and then we get laggy cars running over the players.
